She lived in Omaha until her family moved to Benicia where she along with her siblings Catherine, Jerry, Gail II, Roger, David and Rocky lived. Then, she met Pedro Franzi she married in 1959 in Benicia. Then they moved to Napa in 1963 where they lived and continued to build their family together. Judy was a room mother the leader of the Blue Birds and did yard duty as her kids grew up.
She then met Stanley Price while working at Montgomery Wards. Stanley and Judy married in 1998 and she continued to live her life in Napa, helping to run the family business Baker's Stationary Store. She loved having the grandkids working at the store with her.
Nana is what she preferred everyone to call her. Her grandchildren were her whole life and she loved hanging out with them. She would take them to and from school or any activity that they were involved in. She would attend all her kids and grandchildren's sporting events, which was her highlight in her life. Nana would sneak the grandkids off school grounds for lunch or would bring food to them and their friends.
Judy will be greatly missed by her children Debbie (Lorin) Engler, Terry Mendez-McCray, Peter, Todd, Tammy (Gary) Lee. Her grandchildren, who were so very precious to her- Steven, Salvador, Angela, Savanna, Heather, Jessica, Nicole, Mariah, Justin, Brittany, Jennifer and Desiree. In addition, of course numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews that she enjoyed.
We want to thank her loving caregiver, Sharon Milton who took amazing care of her for many years. We cannot Thank you enough for all you did for our mom.
The family will hold a graveside service at Tulocay Cemetery on January 28th at 1:00pm.
