Cecil Williams, 89, of Columbus, NC went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 30, 2021.
Son of the late Alvin Williams and Sudie Elizabeth Edwards Williams; husband of 73 years to Kathleen Parker Williams.
Also survived by four children, George Cecil Williams (Marcell), Jane (Roger), James Williams (Frances), and John Williams ; siblings, Eugene and Evelyn Joyce Williams Jackson; grandchildren, Elizabeth (Lee), Amanda (Corey), Miranda (Matt), and Jamie (Chloe); nine great-grandchildren, Austin, Cara, Chelsea, Taylor, Thomas, Kiel, Kayla, Zane and Silas, and many other special grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Predeceased by a daughter, Betty Lou Williams Morgan; son, Gerald "Jerry" Williams; and siblings, Billy Williams (9 Jun 1933 -29 Aug 2004) , Dorris Williams Roach (4 Jun 1935 - 25 Sep 2005), Rev Lenburg “Lendy” Williams (31 Jul 1929 – 28 Jul 2013), and Donald Williams (16 Sep 1936 - 17 Apr 2014), Infant Boy Williams (17 Nov 1944 - 17 Nov 1944), and Rachel Elaine Williams (17 Nov 1944 – 4 Dec 1944)
Cecil lived his life to the fullest and enjoyed every moment of it. He will be missed by everyone who knew him.
