Jimmie Lou Owens Davis, 76, of Spartanburg, SC, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 17, 2021, at Spartanburg Medical Center.

A native of Spartanburg County, SC; daughter of the late John N. and Nell Burch Owens, Sr.; wife of George Larry Davis for 52 years.

A longtime member of Boiling Springs First Baptist Church where she was a member of the WMU, the Truth Seekers Sunday school class, and served as the church hostess for many years; dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother.

Also survived by a son, Mitchell Davis (Denise); daughters, Jill Davis Hughey (Rodney) and Jane Hughey Seay (Jason); brother, John N. Owens, Jr. (Paula); sister and brother-in-law, Amelia and Steve Smith; brother-in-law, Leroy McMakin; and six grandchildren.

Predeceased by a sister, Brenda Owens McMakin (1941–2020), and a brother, Infant Son Owens (1950–1950).

Funeral services were conducted at 1:00 PM, Monday, February 22, 2021, at Boiling Springs First Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Dr. Hank Williams and Rev. Scott Linnerud; interment in Good Shepherd
Memorial Park.

Mrs. Davis lay in state from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Sunday, February 21, 2021, at Eggers Funeral Home of Boiling Springs.

Memorials could be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Spartanburg, SC, or to Boiling Springs First Baptist Church, Boiling Springs, SC.
