Following graduation from St. Joseph’s Academy Villa Carondelet in Tucson, AZ, she attended and graduated from St. Mary’s Hospital School of Nursing in June 1947. Later that year, she was granted a certificate as registered nurse in the State of Arizona by the Board of Nurse Examiners. Mary worked as a registered nurse for over 25 years,
She married Robert Wilderman on December 19, 1947 in Tucson, Arizona. They were married 69 years.
Mary is preceded in death by her husband Bob. Survivors include her daughters, Sue, Jane and Bobbi; two grandchildren, Kristen and Kevin; and five great-grandchildren, Kayla, Conner, Collin, Gavin and Fabian.
Mary enjoyed shopping, flea markets, antiques, home decorating, jigsaw puzzles and taking walks with Bob in the desert landscape near their home.
Visitation will be held Monday, March 1, 10:30am followed by a graveside service at 11:00am at the Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery and Funeral Home, 1562 E. Baseline Road, Mesa, AZ.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mary’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Association www.alz.org or Wounded Warriors www.woundedwarriorproject.org
