Ted married Lois June Baker on Aug. 8, 1953 at Bethel Lutheran Church in Madison. He worked as a truck driver for Neuendorf Transportation for many years.
Ted was an avid auto racing fan. He had a passion for cars and Indy Car Racing. He attended many races with his wife Lois June and best friend Tony over the years including NASCAR, The Indy 500, sprint car races and the Knoxville Nationals. Some of his best memories were from camping in Northern Wisconsin. He was an animal lover, especially to the many cats big and small that they rescued over the years. Ted was a life-time member of Bethel Lutheran; his strong faith was always very important to him. He was proud of the volunteer work that he did including raising money on his own for multiple sclerosis.
Ted is survived by his daughter, Karen (fiancé, Michael Kile-Rasmussen) Purtell; son, Tim Klade; brother, David (Karen) Klade; two sisters, Delores Kaven and Ann (Bob Mumford) Brewer; best friend, Tony (Mary) Geier; numerous nieces and nephews; extended family in the Tomahawk area; many dear friends and beloved kitties.
He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; three sisters, Kathryn, Alice and Pam; three brothers, Jerry, Richard and Lorian and infant daughter, Karen K.
