Louise M. Lee, age 83, of Poygan, died Tuesday, February 16, 2021, at home.

She was born August 21, 1937, to the late Berger and Murna (Stenson) Amundson.

On April 23, 1955, Louise married Robert Lee at the Borth United Methodist Church. Along with working on the family farm with Bob, Louise also worked at Wagner’s Electric in Winneconne and for the Omro Care Center until her retirement.

Louise enjoyed traveling with her friends to play bingo. She also enjoyed and spent her time crocheting and doing needle stitch and made many doilies, tablecloths, pillowcases and crocheted blankets for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was most proud of the fact that she crocheted blankets for each of her 18 great-grandchildren for Christmas 2020. Louise also crocheted and sewed many items over the years for the annual Borth United Methodist Church auction to help with fundraising for the church.

Louise is survived by her six children, Alan (April) Lee, Debbie (John) Schoonover, Cindy (Mike) Rank, Patty (Mark) Meton, Betty (Paul) Ulrich, and Dale Lee; twelve grandchildren, Robert Lee, Jeremy (Bethany) Schoonover, Kathy (Tim) Shreve, Laura Schoonover, Aaron (Suzana) Rank, Melissa (Shain) Wahlen, Adam Ulrich, Jennifer (Zach) Schmick, Lisa Anklam, Tyler (Kayla) Anklam, Michael Meton and Josh Bartow; great-grandchildren, Kaylie and Kaden Shreve, Lillian, Adela, Hazel and Hattie Schoonover, Evan and Maya Rank, Vera and Rowan Wahlen, Braelynn and Audrey Wegner, Scarlett and Sienna Anklam, Justin, Shiloh, Tristen and Noah Schmick, Rylan Kraus, Maverick Bartow and Kyla Choy. Louise is also survived by two sisters, Delores Domke, June (Joe) Dobrynski; one brother, Donald Amundson; sister-in-law, Bernice Flanagan; brothers-in-law, Bill Hayes and Rodney Schmidt; and many other relatives and friends.

Along with her parents, Louise was also preceded in death by her husband, Bob; three brothers and four sisters-in-law, Kenneth and Bernice Amundson, Laverne and Ellie Amundson, Richard “Dick” and Myra Amundson, and Nancy Amundson; five sisters and three brothers-in-law, Donna Hayes, Jeanette and Ray Gose, Sharon Schmidt, Marlene and Ray Decker, Eileen Amundson and David Domke.

A visitation for family and friends will be on Saturday, February 20, 2021, from 9:30-11:00 a.m. at Mueller Funeral Home, 904 E. Main Street, Winneconne. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Becky Kindschi officiating. Burial will follow in the Borth Cemetery.

A memorial will be established for the Borth United Methodist Church.
