Bailey, Jamison (Jamerson) Walker - Private, Company D, listed as Jamerson Baily, enlisted on 8/21/1861 at Princeton [West] Virginia - 1860 MCC, age 38, farmer, married to Polly, age 38. Born on 11/28/1821. Enlisted in 2nd Company H, 60th Virginia Infantry at Princeton, [West] Virginia on 8/7/1863. Present thru the final roll. Blue eyes, dark hair, 5'7" tall. Enumerated on the 1880 Census of Mercer County, West Virginia, Rock district, age 59, farmer, married to Polly, age 59. Appears as "Jamison" on the 1900 Mercer County Census, Rock District, age 79, born in November 1821, widower, residing in the household of his son, Elis Bailey, a farmer. Moved to Coryell County. Texas with the family of his son, Matthew Elis Bailey. Died on 1/31/1910. Buried in Lavita Cemetery. Coryell County, Texas. Family sources say he was a Methodist preacher and taught school prior to the Civil War.
