On Wednesday, February 10, 2021, Lois passed away peacefully at the age of 82, in Grass Valley, CA. We will all miss her joyous laughter, humor and love. We were blessed to have known her.
Lois was a long-time member (35 years) of the Yuba County Sheriffs Posse, as well as a Foothill Lion's Club member.
Lois is survived by her husband of 65 years, Ray Walters; son, Steve Walters (Roxie) of Oregon House, CA; daughter, Carla Walters Sangston (Wally) of Rackerby, CA; three granddaughters; one grandson; four great-grandsons; and one great-granddaughter, as well as her brother, Keith Ledbetter (Susan) of Forestville, CA; and her (sort of in-a-way) adopted daughter, Monica Ramos of Loma Rica, CA.
Lois is preceded in death by her biological mother, Evalee, who passed when Lois was only two-and-a-half years old; her sister, Laurel; father, Roy; and stepmother, Betty.
The family would like to thank those hospice and caregivers from the Crystal Ridge Care Center in Grass Valley, CA, who provided Lois' care.
Lois will be laid to rest on Wednesday, February 17, 2021, at 11:00 a.m., at the Peoria Cemetery in Browns Valley, CA.
