Son of Henry M. & Elizabeth D. “Lizzie” Pitts McClure; husband of Agnes Rosalia Lamb McClure, married June 25, 1919 in Poultney, Rutland Co., VT, by Rev. J. Alan Donald.
He was the town manager for Castleton, VT, and a resident of the town for many years.
Survived by his wife; a son, Robert, and a daughter, Marjorie.
Funeral services: Thursday, February 9, 1950, Castleton Federated Church, conducted by Rev. Olaf Johnson.
Burial: immediate committal was made to the Poultney vault, with burial taking place in the East Poultney Cemetery later that spring.
Pallbearers: William Wallace, Fritz Anderson, George Ballard, Vincent Collins, and Russell Fish, all of Castleton, and Plin Whitcomb of Fair Haven.
Several people who attended his funeral were noted in the newspaper as well: Mr. & Mrs. Frank Lamb (Frank was the brother of Agnes), and their daughters, Mrs. Wilma Carter and Mrs. Winston (Melissa) Seeley, and Mr. Seeley, all from Middlebury, VT.
