She was a 1939 graduate of Muhlenberg High School and McCann’s School of Business. Mrs. Kennedy was a member of Alsace Lutheran Church and was employed as a bookkeeper/cost accountant at Met Ed for 11 years and Robert Emig Products for 13 years retiring in 1986. She enjoyed reading, playing cards, knitting and crocheting.
Mrs. Kennedy is survived by her daughter Georgene K. Hobwood, wife of Carl Hobwood of Robesonia and her son Geoffrey R. Kennedy of Myerstown and her grandchildren Heather M. Noecker, Christopher S. Noecker and her great granddaughter Miranda B. Noecker all of Reading. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and was preceded in death by her brothers Richard H. Spatz and Lawrence H. Spatz, Jr. and their spouses.
Funeral Service will be held at the convenience of the family in Bean Funeral Home, 1605 Rockland Street, Hampden Heights. Interment will follow at Alsace Cemetery.
