Cynthia passed away peacefully in the afternoon of February 10, 2021, while recovering from a stroke that occurred during a heart-valve replacement procedure in December.
Cynthia was born on January 23, 1933, to Roland Louis Holcombe and Margaret Nelson Douglass Holcombe in Waynesboro, Mississippi.
Cynthia is survived by her husband, Alan Gray Collier; her children, Susan April Collier Bond (Mark), William Douglass Collier (Carrie), and Emily Gail Collier Stacy (Jay). In addition to her children, she is survived by five grandchildren, Kimberly, Katherine, Sarah, Caleb, and Douglass, as well as a sister, Karen Worley (Dave).
A celebration of her life will be held at a later date. Burial will be in Holly Memorial Gardens, 3251 Seminole Trail, Charlottesville, VA.
