LAPORTE -- Funeral services for Francis B. Browning, 67, of 912 Monroe St., LaPorte, who died Friday at his home, will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Haverstock Funeral Home with Elder Gordon Nalder, President of the LaPorte Branch of the Latter Day Saints Church. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery. Friends may call from noon today at Haverstock Chapel until the funeral. Born Jan. 21, 1903, in Ogden, Utah, he married on Jan. 29, 1939 in LaPorte, Elma Peters. She survives with two daughters, Mrs. Oetta Dennis of Muncie, and Mrs. Barbara Trumbio of Chicago; five grandchildren; two sisters, and a half-brother. He was a member of the Lions Club, and Allis Chalmers Senior League.
