Mr. Downs died at 7 p.m. Tuesday in North Mississippi Hospital.
He leaves two sons; Samuel Downs of Corinth and Edward Downs of Rienzi.; Two daugthers Mrs. Lucille Guin of Rienzi and Mrs. Toostie Young of Booneville; A brother, Byron Downs of Booneville; Three sisters. Mrs. Rachel Downs Bishop of Rienzi, Mrs. Beatrice Downs Copeland and Essie Downs Wilson of Fulton
He was preceed in death by his wife Rosie Doss Downs; A son T.L. Downs, who was killed in St Low in Normandy France July 12, 1944.
Mr. Downs leaves four grandchildren.
