A retired nursing assistant and resident of New Roads, she died at 3:25 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2011, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center, Baton Rouge. She was 81 and a native of Bueche. Visiting at St. Mary's Catholic Church, New Roads, on Saturday, Sept. 24, from 8:30 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m., with Monsignor Robert Berggreen, celebrant. Interment in Chenal Cemetery. Survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Betty and Mark Dickinson, of Lakeland; son, Joseph Adam Saizon Jr. and wife, Julie, of New Roads; two grandchildren, Christy Dipple and Tessa Saizon; beloved cat, Peep; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Adam Saizon Sr.; parents, Edmond and Melodie Guerin St. Romain; and brothers and sisters. Pallbearers will be Troy Stephens, Andrew Andrepont, Adam Chatelain, Jeff Venable, Joshua Jarreau and Sebastian Stevens. Special thanks to Karen, Alecia, Lynell and Miss Jeannie.
