ACCIDENT VICTIM EIGHTY-ONE YEARS
Funeral of Mrs. Susannah Dobbins Sunday.
Mrs. Wilford Dobbins injuries not serious as were first reported
Mrs. Susannah Dobbins, who was struck by a Big Four engine at Mohawk at 1:40 o'clock p.m. Thursday, was 81 years of age. She lived with her son, W. Dobbins, a merchant of Mohawk.
The fatal accident occurred about as stated Thursday. Mrs. Dobbins and her daughter-in-law, who had been to the Sitton funeral at Maxwell, had just left the interurban car and were crossing the Big Four track when Mrs. Dobbins, Sr., fell onto the track. While her daughter-in-law was trying to get her off the track, they were struck by the freight engine. It was thought at first that Mrs. Wilford Dobbins was fatally hurt. Dr. Oscar Heller; and Dr. T. E. Lowe, of this city, and Dr. Clayton, of Maxwell were summoned. While Mrs. W. Dobbins was cut and bruised and suffered a great nervous shock, it is thought she will recover.
The funeral of Mrs. Susannah Dobbins will be held at the North United Brethren church Sunday at 10 o'clock. Pasco Brothers, Undertakers.
