Angela D. Poole was born July 10, 1954, in Columbus, Ohio, to the union of Allen Poole and the late Helen Cassandra Poole. On Wednesday, November 15, 2017, she quietly went home to be with the Lord.

Sister Poole was employed many years and retired from Cardinal Foods. She was a community activist for her apartment complex and was a member of Homeport, a non-profit organization that builds affordable homes for sale and rent. She also tutored students after school.

Sister Poole has been a faithful and loyal member of The Friendship Missionary Baptist Church for more than fifty years under the pastorate of the late Pastor R.T. Gleaves and his successor, Dr. G. Thomas Turner, Sr. She gave freely of her time to help with the Johnnie Mae Wright Friendship Baptist Church Food Pantry, and the Ida Smith Missionary Society. She helped with the Youth Department and always helped cook the Christmas dinners, Revival dinners, and other dinners. Everyone enjoyed her green beans which were her specialty.

Sister Poole is preceded in death by her mother, Helen Cassandra Poole, and brother Allen Benard Poole.

She is survived by her children, Cassandra, Ashle, and D’Juan Poole; father, Allen Poole; brother Anthony Poole; sisters, Carol and Alysia Poole; grandchildren, Darius Alan Poole and J’vanna Mashelle Poole; along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and The Friendship Missionary Baptist Church family.
