Loretta Ann Hooker Martin, 81, of Eden went home to be with the Lord on Monday, February 8, 2021, at her residence.
Loretta was born in Ridgeway, VA on November 12, 1939, a daughter of Harvey Lee Hooker and Naomi Cobbler Hooker, both deceased.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Joretta Hooker, and her brother, Larry Hooker.
Loretta is survived by her husband of 62 years, Franklin Delano Martin; her children, Sybil Sellers and husband Mark and Frankie Martin, all of Eden; her siblings, Tommy Hooker and wife Shirley of Blairs, VA and Calvin Hooker of Reidsville; and her grandchildren, Jonathan Sellers and Rebecca Sellers.
A graveside service will be held at 2 pm Sunday, February 14, 2021, at Ridge-View Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Tim Butcher officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Rockingham Healthcare Foundation, 516 S. Van Buren Road, Eden, NC 27288 (Please note in the memo line: Cancer Center in memory of Loretta Martin); or to the Friends of the Garden of Eden Senior Center, 508 Orchard Drive, Eden, NC 27288 (please also note, “In memory of Loretta Martin”).
