Parents: George Smith and Effie Lane (both born Tennessee)
Married Anna Keating, 12 February 1923, New London, Connecticut

Place of death from Nevada death index. Place of birth, middle name from WWII draft registration; NDI confirms POB to state level. Parents from 1920 census, Pueblo, Pueblo county, Colorado, as Cecil Smith. (Occupation was Apprentice Car Man for RR.) Residence at time of WWII draft card was New London, Connecticut. Censused in New London with wife Anna in 1940 (with four children) and 1930 (with one child). Marriage in 1923 in Connecticut. The 1930 census gives both his parents' POB as Tennessee, which matches the 1920 census with his parents; his occupation is Air Inspector for RR.

By the 1950 census his family had moved to Arcadia, Los Angeles county, California; only their two youngest children were still at home.

Not to be confused with Cecil Smith who married Margaret Watt in 1928 in Glenwood Springs, Colorado. The census indicates he was a blacksmith and both his parents were born in Colorado.
