PAUL ORIN ACRE, the son of Orin R. and Ruth Agnes Acre, married Bessie Herrick Woods on July 1, 1944. The couple lived in Duplain, MI and produced three sons: David, Dan and Dean Acre. After a career in farming and work as a construction supervisor for Carlson Construction Services, Paul retired until his passing at the age of 78 on January 24, 1997. Services for Paul were held on January 28, 1997 in the chapel of Elsie's Smith Funeral Home. He was laid to rest next to Bessie, who had died three years earlier, under a joint tombstone in Elsie's Riverside Cemetery.
