Thomas Edward Montgomery born May 14, 1965, aged 55 passed away on February 8, 2021 in his home surrounded by his family in Waverly, Ohio.
Thomas grew up in Latham, Ohio and attended Western High School. After school, Thomas joined the military and was stationed in Germany during peace time. Tom moved back to Latham, Ohio and started working at the correction facility in Orient, Ohio. He later transferred to Chillicothe Correctional Institution and that is what he retired from.
Tom is survived by his widow, Kristi Garrett and his four children and their spouses. He is also survived by his parents Chuck and Carlann Dotson, Eddie Montgomery, and Ivan and Kathy Rigsby and his five siblings. Tom also has four grandchildren.
Tom is preceded in death by his brother Jeff Montgomery.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Sunday, February 14, 2021, at the Boyer Funeral Home in Waverly with Pastor David Marhoover officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Waverly, Ohio.
Family will receive friends at the Boyer Funeral Home from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. Saturday, February 13, 2021.
