Wanted: A Bride
Any Good Middle-aged Christian Female Might Do.
Nunda, Livingston county, Oct. 21 - George Bosley, 64 years of age, who has a farm at Tuscarora, near Nunda, and a good-sized bank account, has advertised for a wife. Mr. Bosley is a bachelor, strong on religious principles to his matrimonial aspirations, and has advertised for a "Christian lady" whose acquaintance he cultivate with an object of making her his wife. He says:
"I want a woman between 50 and 60 years of age, possessed of sound Christian principles, able to cook, sew and take care of a house. I don't want a young woman because she might get miffed at me some time and get a divorce, and then want me to pay her alimony."
Mr. Bosley says he is a Baptist, but is not particular what church the woman belongs to, so-long as she lives up to the laws of God as laid down in "His Book." He has never been baptized, but If he could find a good wife, he says, they could be baptized together. He adds:
"I do not want to get married in haste, but would rather be acquainted a few months so that I could find out what kind of a disposition she has. I would provide a comfortable home and do my best to please the right woman, and if I died should leave her well fixed."

Didn't Find Her
George Bosley, the Mt. Morris farmer who last winter advertised for a wife, couldn't decide which woman to choose from all the answers he received and now is seeking a housekeeper. Too bad, too bad for George. Sometimes bachelors fall in love with their housekeepers, however. But hope this isn't George's only hope. — Caledonia Era.

Needless to say...... George never did marry. He remained single all his life.
