She was born in Owen county, but spent most of her life in Trimble county. She was a member of the Milton Baptist church most of her life.
She was a daughter of the late Martha Poland and Dr. D. H. King. Three brothers, Ruby, Otto, and Harvey; and two sisters, Nannie and Ollie, preceded her in death.
Surviving are three nieces and three nephews, Mary Adams, Bedford; Mrs. Joe Raker, Madison; Mrs. Robert Coffin, Milton, Everett King and Ralph King, Milton; and Robert King, Vevay.
Pallbearers were James Tandy, Charles Driskell, Ben Ford, Tom Maddox, Wallace Thompson, and C. L. Ewing. Burial was in Moffett cemetery.
