He was very independent and didn't like others to worry about him, particularly when it came to family. He was a firm believer in respect, which he always showed his parents and especially his grandfather 'PA', Sione Hia Katoa. That same respect and because he always kept his word, is what made him a loyal friend. Siale's friends were a big part of his life and he enjoyed the time he spent with them.
