Mrs. Dorothy Grantham Stacey, age 93, passed away Thursday, April 9, 2020 at Englewood Health Care Facility in Monroeville, AL.
Mrs. Stacey was a native and lifelong resident of Monroe County, AL. She was a member of the Mt. Olive Baptist Church and the Women's Missionary Union.
Preceded in death by her husband, Nelvin Stacey; her parents, Richard and Lillian McArthur Grantham; one brother, Thomas "Tommie" Franklin Grantham; and three sisters, Annie Clyde Melton, Eula Gunn, and Bernice Williamson.
Survivors include: two sons, Amos Stacey and Noel Stacey; three daughters, Sheila Godwin, Angela Smith and Krista Barnes; 9 grandchildren, Chadwick Godwin, Sweden Swilley, Skye Stacey, Shiree Webb, Judson White, Derek Stacey, Cody Barnes, Candace Stacey Barnes and Kendel Gerrity; and 11 great-grandchildren, Conner Godwin, Braeden Swilley, Baylor Swilley, Will Webb, Scout Stacey, Megan Stacey, Madison Stacey, Holden Stacey, Andy Medlock, Cole Norris and J.P. Norris.
Private graveside services will be held at a later date. A Celebration of Life service may be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Parkinson's Disease Foundation.
Burial: Possibly in the Monroe Chapel Cemetery in Monroeville, Monroe County, Alabama, where her husband is buried.
