Elizabeth "Betty" Ordile

Of Waltham, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Christmas morning December 25th, 2020 in her home after a courageous two year battle with cancer at the age of 84.

Born on December 11, 1936 in Belmont; beloved daughter of the late Francesco Zola and Rosa Maria (Metello) Zola. Raised in Belmont, Betty moved to Waltham after her marriage in 1957.

Betty attended Belmont schools and had been employed as a School Crossing Guard with the City of Waltham Police Department; Omni Spectra Corporation; and retired after 25 years with the Town of Belmont School Department as a Cafeteria and Food Service Manager at the Butler School in Belmont.

Her life focused around her family; she was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother. She cherished every moment spent with her children and grandchildren. She had a gentle nature and a caring way about her; she was always there for her family in any way she could be. Betty had a special bond with her sisters and always loved her daily trips shopping with Rose and Fran.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband Frank J. Ordile and her loving son Philip J. Ordile.

Betty is survived by her devoted & loving children Frank J. Ordile and his wife Maureen of Winchendon; James "Jimmy" Ordile and his wife Tiffany of Leominster; and Anthony "Tony" Ordile and his devoted companion Crystal Campbell of Leominster; her cherished grandchildren Amy, Jessica Lee, Angela Lee, Philip Jr., Elise, Catherine and Calista; and her dear sister Rose LeLievre of Belmont. In addition she is survived by many nieces, nephews, close friends, and extended family who loved her dearly.

Dear sister of the late Anthony Zola, Frank Zola, Frances Zola, Joseph Zola, and James Zola.

For the safety of those we love and care about during this difficult time, and for those who wish to pay their respects to Betty and her family can do so in accordance with CDC, Federal, State and Local guidelines in the Mary Catherine Chapel of Brasco & Sons Memorial, 773 Moody Street, Waltham, MA., on Sunday Jan. 3rd from 2:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Family & friends are welcome to celebrate Betty's life and remember the loved she shared with those she touched during a Funeral Service in the Mary Catherine Chapel of Brasco & Sons Memorial on Monday morning Jan. 4th at 10:30 a.m. followed by her burial at Mount Feake Cemetery in Waltham.
