Shirley Ruth Rose, 83, of Nebo, North Carolina, passed away on Saturday, January 30, 2021 at her home.

A native of McDowell County, she was born on March 01, 1937 to the late Willard and Hennie Gardin Lewis.

Shirley was a retiree of Collins and Aikman. She was a funny, outgoing lady who loved cutting up. She also enjoyed fishing. Shirley was very loving to all, and her family meant the world to her.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Jack Rose, and eleven siblings, including a special sister, Estelle “Tet” Jones.

She is survived by her five children, Todd Rose, Kim Rose (Joel Ward), Victor Rose (Robin), Donna Boyd (Tommy Smith), Nicholas Rose (Tamara); nine grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; and one brother, Lonnie Lewis (Linda).

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 03, 2021 at Beam Funeral Service from 3:00 until 4:00 p.m. She will be laid to rest at Laurel Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with her husband, Jack, at a later date.
