She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Steele and a homemaker.
She was united in marriage to James Hoye Hillhouse Sr. on December 2, 1940 in Caruthersville, MO.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Neal and Ollie Fullerton, her husband of 65 years, Hoye Hillhouse, one daughter, Glenda Robinson and 11 brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her two sons, Wilburn Hillhouse of Galesburg, IL, and James "Sonny" Hillhouse and his wife, Doris of Memphis, TN, one daughter, Rita Woody of Steele, MO, seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
Services were held February 2, at Powll Funeral Home in Steele with Rev. Billy Skinner and Rev. Ryan West officiating. Burial was in Mount Zion Cemetery in Steele. Pallbearers were Scott Ables, Scott Hillhouse, Heath Atkinson, Kris Robinson, Steve Golden, Peyton Robinson, John Alan Atkinson and Colton Golden.
