OBITUARY: James Cole, 60, of 21 Edgerton street, was found dead at his home this morning by his son, Everett J. Cole of 34 Lewis street. Medical Examiner Robert R. Kenney, Jr., said death was due to natural causes and estimated that Mr. Cole had died sometime Tuesay evening or Wednesday morning. Mr. Cole lived alone. Patrolman Henry Gaudruder investigated. He was born in Palmer, Mass., February 16,1890 and had resided in Manchester for 35 years. Since 1936 he had been employed at the United Aircraft in East Hartford, and was inspector at the time of his death. He was a member of the South Methodist church and Washington Orange Lodge, No. 117. Besides his son, he leaves one brother, Robert H. Cole, of this town, and two grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at Watkins Funeral Home, 143 East Center street, Saturday afternoon at three o'clock. Rev. Fred R.Edgar, pastor of the South Methodist church, will officiate and burial will be in the East cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from seven o'clock tomorrow evening until the hour of the funeral. (Manchester Evening Herald, Manchester, CT, Thursday, 15 December 1950)
