OCALA, FL - Wayne Leroy Stevens, age 84, passed away January 23, 2021 in Ocala, Florida. He was born June 19, 1936 in Chillicothe, Ohio to Wayne F. & Bernice (Kinsey) Stevens. Wayne graduated from Chillicothe High School as a two time all state basketball player and high jumper. He was a captain of the 1958 University of Cincinnati Bearcats men’s basketball team that went 25-3. Following, he spent one year playing in the NBA with the Cincinnati Royals. Wayne spent his working career at Procter & Gamble at their Ivorydale facility retiring in 1990 and moved to Ocala, Florida. He leaves behind his wife, Alleen Stevens; a son, Marty, and his wife Rhonda; a daughter, Sidney Thompson, and her husband Kyle; and a step-daughter, Krista Anneshensley, and her husband Robbie. Wayne also leaves behind four grandsons, Kyle, Zachary, Spencer, and Jordan and their families including three great grandsons. There will be a graveside memorial at Greenlawn Cemetery, in Chillicothe, Ohio on Saturday February 13, 2021 at 11:00 AM.
