Golden- Vera Davis Bishop 82 died Monday Aug. 19,2002, at her home after a long illiness. She was a homemaker and a member of Candlers Chapel Baptist Church.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at McMillian Funeral Home chapel in Booneville with Bro. Billy Credille officiating. Burial will be in the Booneville cemt.

Suvivors include three daugther Barbara Ann Garrison and her husband Roy, and Betty Boyd and her husband Phillip, all of Red Bay, Ala. and Linda Szydelko and her husband, Wally, of Burbank, Ill. Two sons Aaron Bishop Jr. and his wife Dorthy of Winthrop Harbor, Ill. and Jimmy Bishop of Golden. Five sisters, Verma Stacy and Evelyn Wright of Booneville, Beverly Stockton of Chigaco, Ivie Walden of Monroe, La. and Edith Stokes of Bakersfield Calf. Three brothers Foice Davis, and Jimmy Davis of Booneville, and Edward Davis of Memphis. 17 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchid.

She was preceded in death by her husband the Rev, Aaron Bishop her parents Charlie G. Davis and Leslie Lilly Cockrell Davis, two sons Billy Wayne Bishop and Edward Doyle Bishop; A sister, Wilodean Ruterford; Two brothers, Garvis and Gernice Davis; And a grandson.

Her in-laws; Andrew Jackson (Jack) Bishop and Rachel Downs Bishop.

Pallbearers will be Roy Matthew Garrison, Mark Anthony Carnes, Todd Cantrell, Paul Hiet, Joey McBride. Patrick Brooks, Shan Wilson and Kenneth Bishop.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today and until service time Friday.
