Julia (Patterson) Hunt and her husband Sidney are buried side by side here, though there is no marker for Sidney.

Julia and Sidney Hunt were married on April 28, 1898 in Blue Rapids, Kansas. In July of the following year, Julia loses here first child during childbirth. It's a little boy. The family is obviously sad, but mostly concerned for Julia, who is somewhat fragile it seems (accounts from various family letters). They move on with their lives, and later have their next child, a boy, they call Vernon. This is 1901, and we believe the Hunt's are living on the family farm outside the city. Later they build a house in town, and live next door to Julia's father, Marion Patterson. They live in this house until their departure for Redlands, California some time around 1912 or 1913, after the death of Marion.

Julia and Sidney live on Cypress Street in Redlands until the mid to late 1920's when they move into Los Angeles, near the University of Southern California. Sidney is still working various jobs, and they get to spend much time with their daughter Julia. Vernon comes to visit from Redlands as well. Julia and Sidney live in the same apartment on West 27th St. until their deaths in 1944 and 1946, respectively.

Julia was a religious woman, going to church regularly just up the street. Though she lived far away, Julia was very close to her relatives as well. There are many surviving letters from cousins, aunts, and uncles back in New York.
