Grace Griffin, 71, died Wednesday afternoon at her daughter’s residence following a brief illness.

She was born in Hoboken and a daughter of the late R.L. Griffin and Myrtice Cason Griffin ; also preceded in death by a brother Travis Lamar Griffin.

She was a 1967 Graduate of Hoboken High School and a graduate of Waycross Ware Tech (now known as Coastal Pines) Cosmetology Program and worked as an hair stylist for many years in local beauty Shops. She later worked as Drug Court Liaison with the State of Georgia and a Nurses Aid at Baptist Village Nursing Home. Most recently she was a caregiver for several different area families.

She was a member of Hoboken Baptist Church and the Happy Hearts.

Survivors include a daughter, Dena Dubberly Dickerson (James Willis) of Hoboken,
a grandson Caleb Kerman of Waycross,
a sister Sandra Griffin Harris (Thomas) of Hoboken,
a brother Tony Griffin (Phyllis) of Hoboken
and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

In celebration of Grace’s life the family requests that attendees wear any shade of purple, her favorite color.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM Monday (February 8, 2021) at High Bluff Cemetery with Rev. Ben Glosson officiating.

Pallbearers will be
Brent Dickerson, Caleb Kerman, James Willis, Rhett Harris, Aaron Harris, and Bailey Knight.
