Teresa Margurite Elizabeth Patterson, 65, of Leavenworth, died Thursday, Jan. 28, 2021. She was born March 22, 1955, the daughter of David and Vivian (McKenzie) Allison.

On Feb. 18, 1983, Teresa married and he survives at the home. She is also survived by two children, three step-children, three siblings, 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and her much loved fur baby, Sadie.

Teresa was preceded in death by her parents and four siblings, Betty Leskoff, Larry Allison, Anthony "Tony" Allison and David "Davie" Allison, Jr.

Teresa retired from the Leavenworth VA after 38 years. She started work in the canteen and finished her career in the mailroom. She met so many wonderful people through the years at the VA. She loved working for the Veterans; they held a very special place in her heart. After retirement she enjoyed time spent with her husband on the farm taking care of the cattle, baling hay, gardening and working in the yard.

She loved flowers and her birds, especially the hummingbirds. She loved traveling to her house at the lake. The 1st weekend of October was always spent with family at the Versailles Applefest. She was always so excited for the time to come! There were countless mini golfing and ice cream ventures. She was always up for a shopping trip with her girls or lunch out with the family. She loved her family and friends so much. You couldn't take her anywhere without her knowing someone and having to stop for a chat. No better time was spent than on a Saturday night of family karaoke or playing games. She loved good food, lots of laughs and making wonderful memories. Her infectious smile was contagious to all around her. She touched the hearts of many and will forever be remembered for just being "her".

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 4, 2021, at the R.L. Leintz Funeral Home. A funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. Friday, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens Cemetery.
