Charlotte Ann (Sales) Thompson, 80, of Red Bank, passed away on January 25, 2021. She was born the daughter of Johnnie & Vada Sales in Chattanooga, TN and graduated in 1958 from Chattanooga City High School and served on the reunion planning committee. Charlotte was a member of Red Bank Baptist Church (Faith Class) and was retired from TVA. After retirement you could find Charlotte at Lake Tansi or on one of the many bus trips she went on with the seniors from Red Bank and Stuart Heights Baptist. She was active in church, civic and charitable programs also the former chairman of: Red Bank Junior Miss and Red Bank Vision Council. She served on the Red Bank Chamber Council and Red Bank Neighborhood Pride Association and was honored as “Red Bank Outstanding Citizen” in 2008. In 2009 she was honored by the Red Bank Chamber Council with a Lifetime Community Service Plaque and also spent many years volunteering for the American Lung Association as a committee member of Women of Distinction.

She was preceded in death by husband, Donald Thompson; father, Johnnie Sales; mother Vada Sales; brother, Marvin Sales.

She leaves behind a daughter, Amy Allen (Steve Long) and granddaughter, Katie Wood of Hixson, TN.

Visitation will be from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM on Wednesday, January 27, 2021 and Thursday, January 28 from 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM at Lane Funeral Home with Funeral Service will follow at 3:00 PM in the in the Coulter Chapel of Lane Funeral Home.
