Carolyn M. Morgan, 94, of Kentland, passed away on Saturday, January 23, 2021 at Cumberland Pointe Health Campus in West Lafayette. She was born on May 31, 1926 in Iroquois County, IL to the late Leo and Marie (Freeland) Sondgerath. Carolyn was a graduate of A.J. Kent High School and later received her nursing degree from St. Elizabeth School of Nursing. Carolyn started working as a registered nurse in 1970 at George Ade.
Her marriage was to Wayne N. Morgan on July 30, 1947; he preceded her in death on September 15, 1998.
She was a member of Retired Nurses of St. Elizabeth, St. Joseph Women's Society and former board member at George Ade Memorial Home in Brook. While working as a registered nurse, Carolyn also helped her husband on the farm for several years.
Carolyn enjoyed spending time gardening and tending to her flowers and playing cards with friends and family. Most of all, she cherished time spent with her grandchildren.
Surviving are two children; one sister; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 10 AM until the time of Funeral Mass at 11 AM on Thursday, January 28, 2021 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Kentland. Fr. Robert Bernotas will officiate. Interment to follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
