Margaret Jeanne Dunn, 86 of Downingtown, PA passed away Thursday January 21, 2021 at her home in Downingtown. She was the wife of the late George F. Dunn.
Born October 31, 1934 in West Chester, PA she was the daughter of the late Warren Rodeback and the late Margaret Springer Rodeback.
Jeanne was a graduate of the 1951 class of West Chester Joint High School. Although she did not get to take advantage of her teaching scholarship, in life she was a teacher in all ways.
Jeanne was a homemaker who spent her lifetime caring for others. Early in life she worked for Bell Telephone, Pepperidge Farm, and the Shortline Bus Terminal.
She grew up as a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church and then moved to Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, where she volunteered as a CCD Aid. Jeanne was also a Girl Scout Leader and enjoyed volunteering and chaperoning school activities.
She most enjoyed spending time with family and taking care of others. She loved music, reading (especially science fiction and mysteries), driving, and spoiling the kids, grandkids and grandpuppies.
She is survived by her sons, Brian K. Dunn (Jeanne) of Palm City, FL; Alan E. Dunn (Jayne) of Downingtown, PA; Kevin M. Dunn (Leslie) of North Port, FL, and daughter Patricia L. Dunn of Downingtown, PA. She is also survived by her grandchildren Lauren R. Dunn, Tyler H. Dunn, and Kendall M. Dunn, many grandpuppies, and sister Linda E. Rodeback.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers Warren “Sonny” Rodeback, Donald Rodeback, Robert Rodeback. Richard Rodeback, and Raymond Rodeback; sister Evelyn Fusco; and grandson Nicholas C. Dunn.
Relatives and Friends are invited to her visitation on Thursday, January 28, 2021 from 10:00 am - 10:45 am at SS. Peter & Paul Church, 1325 E. Boot Rd. West Chester, PA 19380; followed by her Funeral Mass at 11:00 am.
Interment will be held in St. Agnes Cemetery West Chester PA.
