Mrs. Linda Ruth McKenzie of the Pleasant Grove Community in Guntersville, Alabama passed away Friday, January 22, 2021 at home with family by her side. A loving, devoted wife and mother, Linda received the Holy Ghost in 1960 and was a lifetime member of the Rocky Branch Holiness Church.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, January 25, 2021 at The Rocky Branch Holiness Church with Rev. James Bridges and Rev. Matt Long officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the Rocky Branch Holiness Church on Sunday evening from 4:00 to 8:00. Respectfully, the family asks all who attend to wear a mask for both the visitation and funeral for safety.
Linda is survived by her husband: Roland McKenzie, Son: Erik (Sharon) Scott, Daughters: Lorie (Tommy) Edwards, Rhonda (Gary) Thompson and Anjie McKenzie. Grandchildren: Luke Scott, Shelby Scott, Blake (Kesha) Edwards, Callie (Ethan) White, Kiersten (Shaun) Aragaki, Karlee Valentine, Cyndi (Tanner) Teague, and Emily McKenzie and 4 Great Grandchildren. Sister: Pat (Rev. Bill) Scott and Brother in Law: Gary Bradford.
She was preceded in death by her parents Rev. Hubert and Sis Lucille Sampson, Sister: Sibyl Bradford; Sister & Brother in Law: Judie and Alvin Brewer and Son: Gerald McKenzie.
