Rose Agnes (Diersen) Jones on January 22, 2021 was called home to be with her heavenly Father. Rose was born on September 21,1924 to Adelaide Biller Diersen and David Diersen and was a lifelong resident of Louisville. Rose was a resident of Nazareth Home at the time of her passing. She had an active and full life as she traveled extensively through this country and overseas and enjoyed playing bridge and golf with friends at River Road Country Club, loved working in her garden and tried to keep dandelions out of the yard. She cut her own grass until advanced age. Rose greatly enjoyed driving her Mercedes and having red hair. She was a great cook and made delicious desserts. Rose did all the painting in the house and sewed many of the girls clothes and even their prom dresses. Rose was a member of Holy Family Church and volunteered in the cafeteria while her children went to school there. After moving from that area, Rose became a founding member of Church of the Epiphany Anchorage. She enjoyed the beautiful church and services. Rose was always proud of her girls, her grandchildren and great grandchildren and loved having them visit. She was close to her nieces and nephews and often played cards with them. They helped her keep the house in repair and even took her to the PGA tournament at Valhalla. Rose was preceded in death by her husband William, sister, Mary Keith and brother, David Diersen Left to cherish her memory are her sister, three daughters . Grandchildren are . Rose is also survived by great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. The family wants to express their gratitude to all the staff at Nazareth Home for for their great care and kindness toward Rose. They always made her laugh and are dedicated to the care of their seniors. This includes the administration all the way to housekeeping staff. Rose was very happy there. Due to Covid-19 there will be a private Funeral Mass celebrating her life at a later date with burial to follow in St. Michael Cemetery. Please make any remembrances to Catholic Charities or Kentucky Humane Society in her name.
