Edna Agnes Taylor, age 95 of Lynchburg died Friday, January 22, 2021, at Gretna Health and Rehab Center.
Born November 5, 1925, in Pittsylvania County, she was a daughter of the late Eugene Edward Taylor and Lou Jane Andrews Taylor.
She was predeceased by one brother, Charles Taylor; and three sisters, Rebecca Snow, Anne Love, and Katherine Petty.
She was a member of Zion United Methodist Church. Ms. Taylor received her Bachelor’s Degree from Longwood College and her Master’s Degree in Education from Lynchburg College. She was a teacher with both Pittsylvania County Schools and Campbell County Schools; and she enjoyed reading, crocheting, needlepoint, and walking.
She is survived by two brothers, Edward Taylor and wife, Norma of Gretna, and Ramsey Taylor and wife, Barbara of Gretna; and numerous nieces and nephews including two special nieces, Dannette Petty and husband, John of Evington, and Bonita McDaniel of Gretna.
Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 26, 2021, at Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery by Pastor David Edinger. Colbert-Moran Funeral Home, Gretna is assisting the family.
