Last rites for Mrs. Pauline Hester Applewhite were held at the Kilmichael Methodist Church Wednesday Morning, December 22nd at 10:30 with the Rev. R. G. Lord, assisted by the Rev. W. R. Lott and the Rev. S. B. Potts, officiating. Interment was in Kilmichael cemetery. Active pallbearers were Estol Tyler, George Flowers, Luther Atkins, Ralph Applewhite , Witty Castle and Puck Wilson.
Mrs. Applewhite who had been making her home with her daughter in Jackson passed away at the Jackson Infirmary following a brief illness. She was a native of Montgomery County and the widow of L. A. Applewhite.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Joe Davis of Winona, Mrs. L. Wingate, Jackson. and Mrs. G. A. Gunter, Jr. of St. Louis and one son, Harman Applewhite who is with the U. S. Army in Italy.
