Kevin Burton Buck, 67, of Red Wing, died unexpectedly, Wednesday, January 20, 2021, at his home. He was born June 2, 1953, in Red Wing to Burton and Margaret (Larson) Buck. He graduated from Red Wing Central High School in 1971 and then served in the U.S. Marines from 1972-1974. He worked at ADM for several years and at other businesses in the area. On February 12, 2008, he was united in marriage to Joanne Wood. Kevin’s passions were pheasant, deer and duck hunting. He loved going to South Dakota pheasant hunting with his Dad, Toby, Robert and his cousins. He enjoyed playing cards, going to the casino, eating out, going for rides and collecting guns. He was a very loyal, generous and caring person and had a strong faith.

He is survived by his wife, Joanne Wood of Red Wing; two daughters, Angela (John) Carroll of East Bethel, MN and Greta (Brett) Riewer of Detroit Lakes, MN; six grandsons, Tyler (Meghan), Tanner, Elijah, Isaac, Abram and Roman; two great grandchildren, Colt and Camdyn; step daughter, Dawn (Joe) Turenne of Plymouth; step- grandson Benjamin; two sisters, Julie (Robert) Strickland and Susan Kolberg both of Red Wing; several nieces and nephews and our good friend Jack “Dusty” Hartin. He is preceded in death by his parents; nephew, Jesse Strickland and stepson, Kenneth Hendrickson.

Private family services will be at the Cornerstone Community Church. The service will be live streamed at 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 26, 2021, on the Mahn Family Funeral Home’s Facebook page. Burial will be at the Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday, January 25, 2021, at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel. Masks and social distancing are required. Memorials are preferred to NAMI.
