Mrs. Pearson Dies, Was Delta Leader

GREENVILLE-Mrs. M. G. Pearson, 81, of Hollandale, died early Friday in Kings Daughters Hospital. Mrs. Pearson had been in ill health for several years. Funeral services will be conducted at the Baptist Church in Hollandale at 10 a. m. Saturday by the Rev. Mark Fergis, pastor, assisted by the Revs. N. L. Treat and K. E. Clark. Burial will be in Poplar Creek Cemetery in Montgomery County. National Funeral Home of Greenville is in charge.

A resident of Hollandale for 30 years, she was active in Hollandale Baptist Church until ill health forced her retirement. A missionary circle, The Maggie Pearson Circle, was named in her honor. She was born at Kilmichael and lived her early life there, moving to Hollandale in the 1920's.

She leaves her husband: a daughter, Mrs. Gilbert Weeks of Greenville; two sons, R. B. Pearson of Glen Allen and H. B. Pearson of Gibsland, La., 15 grandchildren and great- grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers, Jim and Pete Love, both of Kilmichael; and four sisters, Mrs. Virginia Weeks of Indianola, Mrs. Bob Holloway of Cleveland, Mrs. Balfour Holloway of Indianola: and Mrs. Wright Stove of Kilmichael.
