Mrs. Arlin Bridges

Mrs. Arlin Bridges Chesteen, 78, of French Camp died Monday, October 11, at Baton Rouge General Hospital, Baton Rouge, La. after a lengthy illness. She was a native of Montgomery County and was a member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, David Clarence Chesteen of French Camp; three daughters, Mrs. Vera Henson and Mrs. Louise Boyette, both of Baton Rouge, La., and Mrs. Betty Edwards of Kilmichael; two sons, Loyd Chesteen of Morgan City, La., and Hudson Chesteen of French Camp; one sister, Mrs. Pearl Barnhill of Artesia; 18 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted by Rev. C. E. Burden and Rev. J. A. McMillan at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 13 at Nations Poplar Creek Baptist Church. Burial was in the church cemetery with Oliver Funeral Home in charge.

Pallbearers were Pete Malone, Alvin Malone, Calvin Malone, Ernest Anglin, Narvelle Henley and Von Bridges.
