Eva Marie Reynolds, 83, of Sweet Home passed away Sunday.
She was born in Onawa, Iowa, to Charlie and Suzie (Duffield) Gill.
Eva's family came west in the 1930s, first to Colorado and then eventually made their way to Oregon. She attended high school in Sweet Home.
She married James "Jim" Reynolds on Sept. 19, 1942, in Port Townsend, Wash. Jim served in the Army while Eva lived in Crawfordsville and they started their family. After the war, Jim returned and found work in the mills around Sweet Home and Lebanon. Eva worked from time to time while raising their family.
Eva enjoyed family activities like camping and fishing. They always had an open door to anyone and enjoyed many friends. Jim passed away, and she continued to live in Sweet Home. She was a member of Highway 20 Church of Christ.
She is survived by sons Harry and wife Sally Reynolds of Placerville, Calif., and Charlie and wife B.J. Reynolds of Sweet Home; sisters Thelma Davis of Lebanon and Velma Ritchie of Eugene; brother Dale Gill of Springfield; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Eva was preceded in death by her husband, two grandchildren, and six brothers and sisters.
A graveside service will be Friday at Union Cemetery in Crawfordsville.
