GREAT MILLS, Md. — Patrick Henry McGuire, 81, formerly of Warren, passed peacefully at 1:25 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 17, 2021, at his home in Maryland.

Patrick spent his final months in the care of his son, Greg McGuire; daughter-in-law, Tammy McGuire; and his grandchildren, Josh, Jake and Tommy. He passed peacefully with Greg and Tammy by his side.

He was born on Feb. 3, 1939, the 10th of 10 children of Amelia Loibl McGuire and James J. McGuire.

Patrick was a graduate of Warren G. Harding High School, a member of the U.S. Marine Corps, and worked for Packard Electric until he retired.

He loved to golf, with at least one hole-in-one verified at Seven Hills Golf course on the 116-yard 7th hole. Pat was also an avid fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes.

Pat is survived by two sisters, Edie Hitchcock of California and Helene Haughney of California; his sisters-in-law, Lucille (Guarnieri) McGuire / Bayman, Sheila McGuire, Charline McGuire and Lucy McGuire.

He is also survived by his three sons and their families, Steven McGuire and wife Deanna of Catawba, N.C., Greg McGuire and wife Tammy of Great Mills, and Patrick McGuire and wife Katie of Warren; five grandchildren, Tommy, Josh, Jake, Michael and Seth; and two great-grandchildren.

Pat was preceded in death by his parents, James and Amelia Loibl McGuire; his sisters, Claire McGuire of Warren, and Suzanne Hayes of Michigan; and by five brothers, James, Bernard, Robert, Thad and Ronald McGuire.

Pat was a private person and chose to have no calling hours or services.

The family has requested that any memorial contributions be made to your local animal shelters and / or local hospice organizations.
