Mrs. Tressie Flagg Podell, wife of Gus Podell of Denham, passed away Monday morning at 4 o'clock in the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Flagg in North Judson.
Mrs. Podell had been in failing health for the past several years and critically ill for the past three months.
The deceased was born to Charles Flagg and Minnie Short Flagg on Nov. 8, 1902 and had reached the age of 41 years, 9 months and 6 days at her death.
When a girl, she became affiliated with the Salvation Army in East Chicago.
In the year 1921 she was united in marriage to Gus Podell.
Survivors are the husband, two daughters, Margaret Bechtold of Fort Wayne and Wanita Valentine of Warsaw; five step-children--Orlie, Orville, George and Ed Podell and Mrs. Clara Lemke; four grandchildren; her parents, two sisters--Mrs. Clarence Gentry of Hammond and Mrs. Lettia Clinger of Warsaw; two brothers--Marion of Lake Village and Chester of Hammond, and a large number of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon from the Eatinger Chapel in charge of Rev. L. P. Green. Burial was in the Heppner cemetery near Toto.
