Mr. Michael “Mike” Lee Neal age 62 of McMinnville, TN, died Monday, January 18, 2021, at his home with his family near him.
He was born June 25, 1958, in McMinnville, TN, worked at Batesville Casket Co., was a former employee of A.O. Smith, and had previously been a paper carrier with the Southern Standard.
Mike was a member of the Vine Baptist Church, loved the Lord and going to church, and was especially blessed to lead people to Christ. He performed sign language, enjoyed spending time with his grandkids, loved his father-daughter date nights and dancing.
Mr. Neal was preceded in death by his parents Luther Leman and Gracie Lee Osment Neal, brother Teddy Neal, sister Beverly Marie Neal, and sisters-in-law Susie Johnson and Lucille Floyd.
Mike is survived by his wife of 42 years Marie Neal, daughters Tara (Jon) Deckard and Holly (Justin) Myers, grandchildren Jacobe Deckard, Jensen Deckard, Joshua Jones, Jaxson Jones, Leah Myers, Brooke Myers, Zander Myers, and MacKenzie Jones, sisters Jean Willis, Edna Delaney Panter, Delores Courte, brother Tony Neal, sisters-in-law Rosie (Charlie) Pack, Nellie (Josh) Hennessee, Brenda (Jimmy) Warren, Shirley (Bobby) Farris, Kathy (Tim) Morton, and Annie Melson, and brother-in-law Billy (Ruth) Jones.
Funeral service is scheduled for 1:00 P.M. Thursday, January 21, 2021 in the chapel of McMinnville Funeral Home. Greg Moser and Gannon Richesin will officiate. Interment will follow at Memorial Hill Cemetery at Trinity. The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service on Thursday.
