Arthur N. Coon, 71, of 116 Glenwood Ave. died Wednesday, May 23, 2001, at OSF St. Mary Medical Center in Galesburg.
Born May 17, 1930, in Farmington to Ora and Leota Lumberry Coon, he married Willene Beary on May 19, 1965, in Knoxville. She survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Chuck Cummins and Ron Cummins, both of Indiana; one daughter, Mrs. Robert (Vera) Schneider of Galesburg; and three brothers, Jim and Ralph, both of Farmington, and Dale of Galesburg.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Melody Coon, in 1975, and three brothers.
He was a custodian at Knox College in Galesburg for 28 years, retiring in 1989.
Graveside services will be at Knoxville Cemetery in Knoxville.
