Audrey Ann Hall, age 85, passed away peacefully in her daughter’s home on January 11, 2021, from complications of Lewy-Body Dementia. She was born April 12, 1935, in Lee County, Virginia.

She was married on May 5, 1954, to Preston Louis Hall who preceded her in death in 2015.

Audrey is survived by her sisters, Nora ( Ray) Buettner, Betty ( Mel) Lytle, and brothers- inlaw Neal Spaulding and Ed Gidner.

She is also survived by her children,
Deborah ( Chris) Meagher,
Denise ( Steve) Trosin,
Curtis ( Jennifer) Hall, and
Lisa ( Andy) Barren;

grandchildren, Christopher ( Vanessa), Elisabeth, Brian ( Kelly), Catherine ( Jon), Derek,
Kellison ( Elizabeth), Kory, Abbey ( Doug), Nichole ( Bill), Emilie ( Mark), Hannah, Imagine, Andrew ( Gabi), and Adam.

She especially enjoyed her great- grandchildren, Aurora, Judah, Emmett, Dominic, Quinton, Clayton,

Christian, Irelyn, Hadley, Luke, Isaac, and Zane; and many nieces and nephews, all of whom she loved and cared for deeply.

In addition to her husband of 62 years, she was preceded in death by her mother, Kathleen; her sisters, Mary Spaulding and Arlene Gidner; a grandson, Mitchell; and a greatgranddaughter, Audrey.

Audrey lived in Virginia until she and Preston moved their family to Monroe, Michigan, in 1967. Shortly after moving to Monroe, they joined Monroe Missionary Baptist Church where she served many decades as a teacher of 3-year-olds in the church nursery, taught Vacation Bible School, and held Backyard Bible Schools.

She also served as a greeter on Sundays, and delivered food to those in need. In recent years she enjoyed the Women Widows Group at church.

Audrey will also be remembered for providing daycare in her home for many years. She lovingly cared for countless children; she even continued close relationships with many of them, often attending their graduations and weddings.

Dear to her heart were her four younger sisters

whose especially close relationships were forged by years of love and support for each other.

Audrey also enjoyed reading, social activities at the Creekside Village clubhouse, and visiting residents of the nearby Wellspring Lutheran Home. She had monthly dinner dates with friends and especially enjoyed long conversations with her life- long church friends.

Most of all, she enjoyed and cherished her weekly visits with her children and always looked forward to the next time the family would be together.

She was deeply loved and will be missed by many.

A memorial service is being planned for this spring.
