Joyce Ann Morrison
Graveside service for Joyce Ann Morrison of Augusta, Kan., formerly of El Reno, will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 16, 2021, at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Union City. Funeral Mass was held Friday at St. James Catholic Church in Augusta.

Joyce passed away Sunday, Jan. 10, 2021. She was born in Milan, Tenn., on Dec. 23, 1928, to the late Cleo (Usesy) and William Harvey Staton. She was a homemaker for most of her life and she also worked at a dry cleaners for several years. In August of 1949, she married Lawrence Hendy in Kingfisher.

On Feb. 14, 1973, she married Alvin Morrison, who survives her. She is also survived by her stepson, Fred Morrison and wife, Linda of Augusta, Kan.; stepdaughter, Diana Baxter of Fort Cobb; adopted grandchildren, Kelly Ruth Curtis and Rexella Gilles; step-grandchildren, Joe Stiner (Sherry) of Yukon, Carrie Tatyrek (Shawn) of Yukon, Bryan Morrison (Marie) of Edmond and Justin Green (Sara) of Easton, Kan.; nine step-great-grandchildren and one step-great-great-grandchild.

Joyce was preceded in death by her son, Michael Hendy, and brother, Charles Staton. Memorial donations may be made to St. James Catholic Church, 1012 Belmont Ave., Augusta, Kan. 67010.
